2026 Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship Tournament Preview
First, a word on last week's Dubai Desert Classic where Patrick Reed won easily. This wasn’t a massive surprise given he was one of the players who had gone against the driving and distance trend when 2nd in 2023. What is a large surprise was that he wasn’t alone, with five of the top six below average in distance and the likes of Andy Sullivan, Francesco Molinari and Jayden Schaper all fitting a shorter but more accurate architype. Other than Nicolai Hojgaard (who fit the di

2026 The American Express Final Thoughts
Weather Dome golf at its finest. There is a touch of rain overnight on Friday that could make scoring conditions on Saturday a touch easier across the board, yet I am not concerned this week about an optimal course rotation. I do expect the Stadium Course to play a quarter of a stroke easier this year now that the greens have had 12 months to settle, but it still should play at least 2.5 strokes easier than the other two courses. Scoring Average Prediction: Stadium Course: -1

2026 Dubai Desert Classic Player Breakdown
At the Emirates Golf Club, the profile that we are primarily looking for is an elite driver of the golf ball. Someone who could finish in the top five in strokes gained off the tee on a course that rewards length and has narrow fairways with thick enough rough. A good secondary skill to have is iron play, predominantly from 150-225 yards as 14 of the 18 holes feature an approach from this range. Good Bermuda putting is helpful, but in general short game and putting have less

2026 Dubai Desert Classic Tournament Preview
A slight change this week. When possible, I will try and get the course breakdown out on the Monday for the odds drop, with a summary of the players that I like coming later in the week. This week we have the first Rolex series event (the DPWT version of the signature events) of the year with the Dubai Desert Classic at long time host Emirates Golf Club. This will be the 5th time the Dubai Desert Classic has been apart of the Roles series. Despite being a Rolex series event,

2026 Dubai Invitational Tournament Preview
Course Breakdown The DPWT begins 2026 with a four-week Middle Eastern swing starting with the Dubai Invitational. The Dubai Invitational has a limited field of only 60 players, with a Pro-Am component across the first three days. The past few years this has been rotating with the Team Cup that Europe uses as preparation in Ryder Cup years, so we only have one recent renewal from the start of 2024. That event had one of the best Sundays of the year, with McIlroy and Fleetwood

Bryan's Best Ball Strategy -- 12/30 Update
Robert MacIntyre ADP 17.9 - Since he has committed to the American Express, I have been hammering him in a ton of drafts. I may have missed out on ADP but you can definitely adapt on the fly if you like him as much as I do in light of this news. He is also going to play at RBC. Taylor Pendrith ADP 18.7 - Pendrith got booted from the Masters qualification via top 50 OWGR by year’s end. He will have to play a lot of golf to make up for it. I am seeing scenarios where you get a

2026 PGA Best Ball Strategy Guide
We started a small discussion in the golf Discord channel this morning that sent me down a rabbit hole for some Inside Sports Network content during the golf offseason. Andy and Steve are full throttle with what I believe to be one of their best shows of the year: The Major Preview pods. It got me thinking about what I can provide the site in the time we are off until Sony. What did I spend my time doing last year? Drafting Best Ball teams in PGA. We are all about to get an i

2026 PGA Tour Card Recipients: What to Know
After a grandstand finish to the DPWT season, we have Matt Fitzpatrick as the Tour Championship winner, Rory McIlroy as the Race to Dubai winner, and our ten PGA Tour graduates with Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen (RNP) knocking out Dan Brown. After starting the final round in a share of the lead, RNP had a shaky start with poor approaches on 3 and 4 leading to bogeys. A poor drive on 7 led to more trouble on the par 5, but he slam dunked his 4th shot for a miraculous birdie. Furth
