2026 Cadillac Championship Final Thoughts
Weather I’m really excited to see how this golf course plays tomorrow. I’ve heard some takes from all over the map. Ultimately, I’m holding an over 273.5 (winning score will be harder than -14.5), which I would still say I feel good about, but Steve and I have gotten closer to an overall scoring average of +0.25 than our original opinion of +0.5. I just keep going back to LIV Miami 2024, where the scoring average was +0.15 with a field that is a stroke per round worse than th

2026 Turkish Airlines Open Tournament Preview
The Turkish Airlines Open finds a new home this year, at the National Golf Club -- down the road from the previous two hosts in the golf heavy Belek region. National is a 7,287-yard par 72 parkland course that winds through thick forests with water in play on 7 holes. There are Bermuda grass playing surfaces, but they have been overseeded with Poa Trivialis over the winter. Although I expect by late April the Bermuda will be coming back through. There has been an old Challeng

2026 Volvo China Open Tournament Preview
Course Introduction After what feels like a long break with no event either side of the Masters, the DPWT returns to continue their Asian swing with the Volvo China Open. Last year this event went to a new host course at Enhance Anting Golf Club, and we return there this year. Home hopeful Ashun Wu was a shock winner with Ashun only having 1 other top 10 (for a t9) since the start of 2023. He won by 1 shot at -14, with only 7 players reaching double digits under par and an ov

2026 Zurich Classic Tournament Preview
Good morning! Andy (and the rest of the ISN team) is taking a well-deserved break this week, so there won't be a full Zurich Classic course breakdown. Fortunately, because I'm an obsessive editor who hates deleting things, I've got some of Andy's old writeups on TPC Louisiana, so I've taken some of those write-ups and put them together so those of you who are looking for a deep-dive on the Zurich will have some information. The course doesn't appear to have changed much (it's

2026 RBC Heritage Final Thoughts
Weather What’s conclusive from here is that the afternoon on both days should be more challenging than the morning, but given there are no staggered tee times, I wouldn’t argue for any sort of wave edge. The bigger story here is the firmness of this golf course and the revived undulation and bounciness of the new greens. This leads me to place an increased emphasis on overall APP play and ARG play. Putting might be more challenging this year as well, but the playing field is

Should You Be Playing Scottie Scheffler Right Now? An investigation.
How good was that Masters finish on Sunday? Congratulations to Rory McIlroy on the second green jacket and congratulations on any members on big Sundays. But, the focus now shifts to a tournament where Rory will not be making an appearance. The conversation will swiftly move to “Is Scottie back?” with Rory taking a hiatus, as this is the best Scheffler has looked this season (for my money at least) and the weekly question becomes: is he a playable DraftKings piece? As a fade

2026 Masters Final Thoughts
Weather For a full weather briefly, I would highly encourage you to check out the premium show that Steve and I did last night. Hopefully it was the perfect balance of fun and informative, and if you enjoyed it, we will absolutely bring it back for every major. Now that we have a super forecast, there are two key points that I really want to highlight. First, Thursday morning might be the most difficult conditions that players experience all week. If the scoring average isn’t

Ranking the Holes at Augusta National
I'm not sure if there's another golf course in the world where I know every hole, where I can sketch it in my mind as you're talking about it. I know every contour, every distance to every trouble area, the minefields you need to navigate. Pebble Beach and St. Andrews come close; Kiawah because I've played it. But Augusta is the rare course where nearly every hole stands out. They're named, of course, which adds to the mystique, but there's hardly a dud across the 18 holes of

2026 Masters Tournament Preview
Welcome in friends, the goal of this written preview is to pack in as much data-driven actual information about what matters at Augusta National, both in terms of creating a winning DFS lineup, and picking the winner. We will sort through all of the noise, and by the end, hopefully all of your questions are answered. The article will follow the same format that I’ve do every week, but we are going to pay some extra attention to both trends that are actually relevant, as well

Masters Early Pricing Notes
This is a simple list stating where I think the market is for each player at the masters. I have nothing to say about the olds, amateurs (mostly) and some other guys in the 6’s. I did not include anyone who I think is a reasonable play for me. No Vijay Singh or Freddy Couples for me thanks. Scottie (14.0) - very cold; I think the market still has not seen enough for him to warrant this price tag; I think this is likely a pretty low ownership spot based on this weekend. Most

2026 Valero Texas Open Final Thoughts
Weather This is certainly one of the more extreme forecasts I’ve seen in quite some time, and especially after far too of an aggressive move at Houston last week on the over, I’m taking a more conservative approach this week. The potential for rain and delays loom large here, and Sunday looks particularly awful from a rain perspective, so let’s focus on what we do know and can control, which is the super forecast across Thursday and Friday. To me, this looks like AM/PM should

2026 Houston Open Final Thoughts
Weather I don’t see a whole lot here and I would say I’m a bit surprised that Datagolf is reflecting a wave edge for AM/PM. I would probably still lean towards AM/PM, but the slight wind gusts that are picking up on Thursday afternoon do not even begin under 5:00 PM when that entire wave is finishing their round anyway. I don’t think there is much there to be honest. I would much rather attack the winning score prop, which Steve and I have both bet and comment on the fact tha

2026 Indian Open Tournament Preview
Overview If you want to see professional golfers get put in a blender at one of the most insane golf courses in the world, this is the best week of the year. The Gary Player Course at DLF Golf and Country Club will host the Indian Open on the DPWT for the fourth year in a row and has developed a reputation for ridiculous golf. DLF is a 7,416-yard par 72 that features highly contoured Bermuda greens (some holes have two greens), narrow fairway corridors lined by dense jungle,

2026 Valspar Championship Final Thoughts
Weather There’s a lot of good news in this weather report. The early week rain was not half as significant as the early forecast displayed, and the course should be just as firm as we have seen over the last couple years at this event. Secondly, Thursday and Friday mornings look near identical from a wind standpoint, and while Friday afternoon looks a touch easier than Thursday afternoon, I would not say the difference is strong enough for me to advocate for a wave advantage.

The Malnati/Moore Corollary: Finding Value Plays for Valspar
I took a few minutes to expand on something I will be looking at for this week called the Manlati/Moore Corollary (Gained on Approach, good finishes at Sawgrass leading into Valspar). I brought it up on the show that Taylor Moore and Peter Malnati had good ball striking form leading in with made cuts at The Players prior to Valspar. I like this trend and will use it to build a pool and have already used it for my betting card. Below is a list of players that gained more than
