2026 Presidents Cup: DFS Roster Construction Options

I was pretty successful attempting something pretty unique last time we had a captain mode slate for golf at last year’s Ryder Cup slate. I ended up playing a contest last fall where I ended up shipping the contest, but also coming in second, fourth and sixth. It’s one of the most successful slates I’ve ever had from a “covering the top 10” perspective. I attribute that success to looking for a completely unique angle than anyone else was at the time. I don’t know if I can necessarily make the exact same argument for the President’s Cup this year, but I will have to stick to my guns on picking a unique lane this time.

The stand I made was that the European side was more live to win than the market thought. Combine that with the massively expensive Scheffler consuming lots of the words and oxygen that week along with his popularity, I made a stand to play almost zero percent of him in favor of loading up on his American teammates with plenty of Rahm, Rory, Matt Fitzpatrick and the like.

I do not know if that angle is viable this week as I do expect Scottie to be better than he was a year ago. Based on the markets, I think you can look at this slate with 3 scenarios: an American blowout, a close American victory where the Internationals do their part to keep it close, or if you are feeling really frisky: the Internationals pull out a nail biter.
