The Masters is one of the best sporting events in the world and is certainly one of the highlights of the golf calendar. What are the wagers you should make sure to put down before the first shots leave the tee box on Thursday morning? Let the Inside Sports Network crew give you their favorite plays this week, and be sure to subscribe this week for our favorite plays, up-to-the-minute weather reports and course details, showdown plays, DFS ownership and strategy, and so much more.
Andy Lack: Chris Gotterup -105 over Akshay Bhatia
I expect Chris Gotterup to have a very strong debut at Augusta and outperform all of the other debutants given his strong combination of power off the tee, mid- to long-iron play, and an underrated short game. Akshay, on the other hand, is a much weaker driver of the ball, with a much less dependable short game as well.
Boston Capper: Andrew Novak 1st Round 3-Ball vs. Tom McKibbin/Brian Campbell +138
Novak showed some good signs last week and was solid around the green; you just have to worry about his putting. LIV isn't a real tour and McKibbin isn't even good there, and Brian Campbell is Brian Campbell. Look for Novak to take the early lead against sub-standard competition.
Bryan: Corey Conners Top 20 +240
He's a horse for the course, and his approach numbers have started to show signs of life since the Arnold Palmer Invitational. I always love him at Augusta National, so I'm not going to overthink this one at a fair price.
Kyle Hewitt: Chris Gotterup First Round Leader 42/1
It looks like the afternoon will play a little easier than the morning on Thursday. Gotterup is coming off a T5 where he shot -5 on Sunday and gained in all 4 major categories. He also leads the PGA Tour in first-round scoring average. Look for Gotterup to come out firing in the pairing with Jon Rahm and Ludvig Aberg.
Brian Kirschner: Jon Rahm Top 10 +140
If Jon Rahm is truly the second best golfer in the world, then he needs to show it this week and contend. He's a past champion, finally won again on LIV and is playing some great golf. Rahm needs to contend in majors again and this is a perfect week for it.
Bexico City: Jon Rahm Top 10 +140
(Note: They made these picks completely separately of each other. Seems like a good idea!)
Rahm has the best strokes gained numbers in 2026 and has just about the highest floor in the game with over one stroke gained (field adjusted) in his last 25 events. Rahm is perfectly suited to Augusta, with his biggest strengths being elite mid- to long irons, short game, and distance.
Rishi Loungani: Corey Conners over Tyrrell Hatton -115
Rish didn't give an explanation for his picks (kinda baller, tbh) but if I was making the argument for him it would be that these are similar golfers but one plays in a real league and the other one is on the LIV tour. Hatton has repeatedly expressed his disdain for Augusta National and while that hasn't completely impacted his finishes here, he's had his fair share of sub-par results here. Conners is a course history darling and has better recent form.
Tyler Martin: Corey Conners over Sam Burns +100
(Tyler did write an explanation for his picks.)
Conners is rounding into form nicely with back-to-back Top-15 performances with great ball-striking numbers. With 4 Top 10 finishes at Augusta, I'm backing him to outpace Sam Burns, who has yet to finish above T29 in the Masters. We know Burns can get white hot with the putter, but I don't think he has the all-round game to go head-to-head at Augusta this week.
Chris Parish: Harris English Top 20 +200
Everyone's favorite model of consistency, English is just peppering the edge of the top-20 market with 5 finishes between 21st and 28th in his last six starts. You know how they say it takes a few spins around Augusta to learn how to play it? Check out English's results here: MC, T42, T21, T43, T22, and T12. Our boy is figuring it out. He'll be in the mix this weekend.
Josh Segal: Patrick Reed Top 20 +124
Since his win back in 2018, Patrick Reed has finished inside the top 20 SIX times. His record speaks for itself, and he's playing some phenomenal golf this year on the DP World Tour. I love that Augusta is going to play firm and fast as Reed has one of the best short games in the world.
Steve Schirmer: Hole in One on 16 -- Yes (anytime) +130
Hole in one bets are definitely for the casual bettors. But it's Masters Week! It's ok to have some fun with a couple silly props for the best golf weekend of the season. Last year, Augusta National went against the grain and did not utilize the traditional Sunday funnel pin. Instead, they opted to utilize a more difficult back right pin in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Jack Nicklaus' tremendous shot to help capture another miraculous jacket. This year, I expect the Green Jackets to return to its roots and utilize the more traditional pin. There hasn't been a hole in one at Augusta in a few years, but with warm temperatures and low winds expected on Sunday, conditions should be ideal to give the hole a few scares.
Even if it doesn't hit, this is a fun sweat to have on Sunday. You'll feel nervous anticipation anytime a ball is in the air if you're grinding over the Hole 15 & 16 stream. Or you'll wonder with anticipation if someone finally did it when there's a random loud roar or when they cut in to force us to watch a golfer 9 strokes off hitting their tee shot on 16. Turn off the ROI +EV hat. The Unit Police have suspended enforcement of overleveraged cards, unit and CLV shaming for one weekend only. Live a little and put some money down on this fun prop.
Harris Maxwell: Patrick Reed over Brooks Koepka -125
Patrick Reed is red-hot, and Brooks Koepka is washed, in my opinion*.
*Harris asked me to add an asterisk that he is a tech guy and not a golf sharp.
