2026 3M Open: TPC Twin Cities DFS Picks and Course Analysis

Intro

The switch from Royal Portrush to TPC Twin Cities will be a jarring one, I could not think of a wider juxtaposition between everything that professional golf should be and what professional golf unfortunately is. Instead of utilizing ground contours, dunes, and pot bunkers as thought-provoking hazards that induce strategy, TPC Twin Cities is the definition of target golf. It is a golf course built on a sod farm with absolutely zero topographical intrigue, and the architecture doesn’t make up for its land’s limitations either. Architects Arnold Palmer and Tim Herron simply utilized water as a strategic mechanism. Hit it here…good. Hit it there...bad. The golf course is filled with bordering homes and it’s just not a very pretty golf course to watch on television. With all of that being said, I think that the way that this golf course tests professional golfers (even if it’s devoid of strategy), is underrated, and this is a much better test (not necessarily golf course, but test) than a lot of PGA Tour golf courses where certain skills are not emphasized.
