The Valero Texas Open is one of the longest-running tournaments on the PGA Tour, dating all the way back to 1922. As of 2017, the event has been managed by Wasserman Media Group (I was a former intern!), and it has been played in the San Antonio area since inception. It is the longest-held PGA Tour event in the same city, and while the tournament has moved around to multiple venues in the greater San Antonio area, we have been coming to TPC San Antonio since 2009.
