The Butterfield Bermuda Championship is a relatively new addition to the Fall swing that debuted in October 2019 and has been held at Port Royal Golf Course for the last five years. Originally constructed to be an alternate event opposite the WGC – HSBC Championship, the tournament was elevated in 2021 to a standalone event as the result of successive cancellations of the WGC due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The PGA Tour heads to Cabo this week for a resort-style contest at El Cardonal at Diamonte Dunes. While this event has previously been hosted at the Mayakoba resort, I would not really spend any time looking at prior course history there, as El Cardonal plays in stark architectural contrast to the Greg Norman design. Mayakoba was one of the tightest, most accuracy-over-distance-biased golf courses on the course on the PGA Tour, while El Cardonal is the complete opposite, feat
